AB - The workshop showcases the Radiance photon mapping extension as a forward raytracing solution for the Radiance lighting simulation system.

The workshop focuses on the integration of photon mapping into the official Radiance software distribution, and its application to the efficient simulation of daylight redirecting components. Presentations by lab members and industrial partners include case studies and work in progress to demonstrate its value as a daylight planning tool, particularly for annual simulations.

The target audience for this workshop are researchers and industrial practitioners from the Radiance community looking for an effective solution for simulating complex daylight redirecting components, notably those characterised by highly specular scattering and curved geometry.
