The concept of contribution coefficients has driven not only climate based simulation, but also allowed to efficiently study variants for fenestration designs and to derive the area-averaged BSDF from geometrical fenestration models. With the new refined algorithms implemented in Radiance, we show from a users point of view what solutions are currently offered to model components of fenestration systems which are available on the market. As a test case, an interior space is modeled in detail. Problems arising from combining the new approaches to model complex fenestration when aiming at daylight metrics currently in use and the transfer of measured data are discussed. Fields for future development are proposed.}, year = {2012}, url = {http://radiance-online.org/community/workshops/2012-copenhagen/Day2/Grobe/RW2012_GrobeWittkopf_EN-20120925.pdf}, language = {eng}, }
